Cybercrime in Germany 2013….Ransomware, Mobile Devices and still way to go….!

Abstract:  The rise in worldwide cybercrime has been dramatic and intense.   Every nation is confronting greater challenges to defend and protect its citizens.  Germany is one of the leading nations in investigating and confronting the cybercrime world.  This presentation will focus on cybercrime trends in Germany and their worldwide implications.

Biography:  Andre Dornbush is a detective inspector with the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) in Germany.  Since 2006 he has been a case officer with the Operative Analysts Team of the German Cybercrime Unit with a main focusing on phishing, malware and other cybercrime related issues.  He was part of the kick-off crew for the German Cybercrime Unit in January 2006.
