The Real Malware Threat & the Rise of Hacktivism

Abstract:  Over the past few years the threats to conducting online business operations have grown as malware, spear phishing attacks, and the rise of hacktivism have become predominant hurdles to transacting business.  As material breaches continue to increase across multiple industries, there has been an obvious evolution in the infrastructures, adversaries, and capabilities that have made these attacks more successful.

Deconstructing and understanding the sophistication, utilization, and delivery methods of malware, phishing and hacktivism based attacks requires new approaches that require intelligent security advances. Without new security innovations and approaches your enterprise will struggle to operate with freedom of action in the face of an increasingly hostile Internet and online environment.

During this discussion, we will highlight and deconstruct malware, phishing and hacktivist threats to your enterprise while proposing new innovations and sequencing certain approaches to bring risk management to the ever increasing scale and sophistication of threats. Primary discussions will include the formation and development of advanced security intelligence, new multi-faceted approaches to defeating malware, and campaigns to reduce the risk of your enterprise being compromised.
